Code Enforcement is made up of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, building inspections, high weeds, dilapidated structures, junk and debris, abandoned vehicles and general upkeep. Seminole is operating under the 2021 IBC Building Codes except for electrical and it is 2020 NEC.

James Moon is the Code Enforcement official for the City of Seminole. His assistant is Amy Churchwell. They work together to protect the safety and heath of the citizens in The City of Seminole by ensuring that the buildings and land are in accordance with housing and zoning ordinances. In addition to inspection and investigation of properties and buildings, code enforcement determines the nature of environmental hazards, nuisance violations and unsafe building conditions.
