WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed from 12 to 1 for lunch.
IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY TRASH, WHO DO I CALL?
The water office at the number listed above.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO HAVE MY POLY-KART OUT TO THE CURB ON MY DESIGNATED TRASH DAY?
WHAT IF MY POLY-KART IS BROKEN?
Call the water department and they will make contact with the trash company to come out and repair or replace the poly-kart.
WHAT IF MY TRASH WAS NOT PICKED UP ON THE DESIGNATED DAY?
Call the water department the next business day. They will make contact with the trash company and request for your trash to be picked up. Please do not call on the designated day, please allow the trash company the full day to get your trash picked up.
WHAT IF I DID NOT GET MY POLY-KART TO THE CURB ON TIME?
Call the Water Department and request an extra pickup, there may be an additional charge for this service.
WHAT IF I WANT A BIGGER POLY-KART? MAY I HAVE A SECOND POLY-KART?
Residential accounts are only allowed the 95 gallon poly-karts; however, a second on can be requested at an additional cost.
WHAT IF I HAVE ADDITIONAL TRASH?
Regular trash routes will collect up to 3 extra bags that are set next to the poly-kart on your assigned day. If you have more trash than that, see Operation Pride. Must be bagged and the bag must be of sufficient thickness to permit lifting and handling without breakage.
IS THERE A PLACE TO RECYCLE?
City of Seminole does not operate its own recycling program. To see a list of places to recycle within the state, please click here. Please contact the location before going to understand their rules and operations. This list is managed by "Keep Oklahoma Beautiful" and updated as often as possible.
WHAT IS OPERATION PRIDE?
Operation Pride is a program in which the city provides for the pick-up of bulk (large) items.
WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR OPERATION PRIDE?
*Items are picked up one time per month, on the second full week of each month, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (See the Bulk map for which day they are in your area.)
*Items must be to the curb by 7:00am
*Bulk waste can only be 3 cubic yards (example: level pickup bed load).
*Limbs must be tied in 3ft x 3ft bundles.
*No loose items (loose items must be bagged or in a sealed disposable container).
*No oil, antifreeze, paint, batteries, poisons, or hazardous items.
*Appliances must have freon evacuated.
*No items to exceed 75 pounds.
Residents may also take their own garbage/refuse to the landfill at Wewoka once per month with their most current water bill, there will be a $5.00 fee for a vest. Garbage/refuse will not exceed 3 cubic feet. Please call ahead, (405) 257-6108.
