WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed from 12 to 1 for lunch.
IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY TRASH, WHO DO I CALL?
The water office at the number listed above.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHEN MY DESIGNATED TRASH DAY IS?
Map and information is available on the city website or you can pick one up in the water office.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO HAVE MY POLYKART OUT TO THE CURB ON MY DESIGNATED TRASH DAY?
WHAT IF MY POLYKART IS BROKEN?
Call the water department and they will make contact with the trash company to come out and repair or replace the polykart.
WHAT IF MY TRASH WAS NOT PICKED UP ON THE DESIGNATED DAY?
Call the water department the next business day. They will make contact with the trash company and request for your trash to be picked up. Please do not call on the designated day, please allow the trash company the full day to get your trash picked up.
WHAT IF I DID NOT GET MY POLYKART TO THE CURB ON TIME?
Call the Water Department and reqeust an extra pickup, there may be an additional charge for this service.
WHAT IF I WANT A BIGGER POLYKART? MAY I HAVE A SECOND POLYKART?
Residential accounts are only allowed the 95 gallon polykarts; however, a second on can be requested at an additional cost.
WHAT IF I HAVE ADDITIONAL TRASH?
Regular trash routes will collect up to 3 extra bags that are set next to the polykart on your assigned day. If you have more trash than that, see Operation Pride. Must be bagged and the bag must be of sufficient thickness to permit lifting and handling without breakage.
WHAT IS OPERATION PRIDE?
Operation Pride is a program in which the city provides for the pick-up of bulk (large) items. Map and information is available on the city website or you can pick one up in the water office.
WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR OPERATION PRIDE?
*One time a month, on the second full week of each month, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (See the bulk map for which day they are in your area.)
*Items must be to the curb by 7:00am
*Bulk waste can only be 3 cubic yards (example: level pickup bed load).
*Limbs must be bundled into 3ft x 3ft bundles.
*No loose items (loose items must be bagged or in a sealed disposable container).
*No oil, antifreeze, paint, batteries, poisions, or hazardous items.
*Appliances must have freon evacuated.
*No items to exceed 75 pounds.
Residents may also take their own garbage/refuse to the landfill at Wewoka once per month with their most current water bill, there will be a $5.00 fee for a vest. Garbage/refuse will not exceed 3 cubic feet. Please call ahead.
