The port has a channel depth of nine feet and allows access to the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. Rail With the increase in demand for goods Seminole leadership has placed as a high priority the restoration of rail service to the area. Plans to reactivate a line connecting east-west and north-south arteries are being completed and should soon be operational. The AOK short line plans to lease the stretch of line between McAlester, through Seminole and on to Shawnee adding another means to transport goods. |
